Seesaw App: the best way to keep up to date with news,information and learning

Seesaw is our new platform which benefits families, pupils and teachers: it helps parents and families connect with school and class teachers, find out information and news about events going on at school. For pupils, it is a learning platform where teachers can set work which can be accessed digitally and, in the case of not being able to be at school, access appropriate learning activities from home.

We set up Seesaw at the beginning of Lockdown in March so some parents will be familiar with the apps but if you are new to Seesaw, here are the basics to get you up and running:

there are two apps- Seesaw Family (which is for parents) and Seesaw Class (for pupils to use)
to access these apps for the first time, you require an invite or QR code from school. If you need one of these, please email admin@burnleyroad.calderdale.sch.uk and we will send you an 'invite' by email and/or send a paper copy home
if you have previously had a code but require a new one please follow the instructions above
information, newsletters and events will be shared through either school or class notifications on the Seesaw Family app
work, spellings, Class newsletters and events etc. will be shared on your child's Seesaw Class app
if you need to contact your child's class teacher you can use the Family app to do so BUT PLEASE REMEMBER THAT CONTACTING THE TEACHER THIS WAY WILL NOT GET AN INSTANT REPLY. PLEASE STILL RING THE OFFICE FOR GENERAL ENQUIRIES, QUESTIONS OR TO REPORT ABSENCES.

Since we began to use Seesaw, we have found it a very useful, efficient and invaluable way of communicating with our school family.- especially during the current climate. If you have any problems setting up or using the apps, please contact us and we will do our best to help out.
