Burnley Road Academy (PTFA)

Supporting our school, building community, and creating opportunities for our children

Our Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) plays an important role in supporting our school community. Through a range of events and activities, they bring families together and raise valuable funds that enhance opportunities and experiences for our children.

Pupil Voice in Action

This year, the PTFA has taken on an ambitious challenge to raise £10,000 for a new trim trail. The project began with the children. After the old monkey bars were removed due to safety concerns, pupils created their own petition to ask for new equipment. Their views were shared through the School Council, and the PTFA responded by taking on the fundraising challenge.

Thanks to their dedication (and the fantastic support from our families) the PTFA is now very close to reaching this target. The new trim trail will provide an exciting, active play space that reflects what our children asked for and supports their health and wellbeing.

We are very grateful to the volunteers who give their time so generously and to everyone who supports PTFA events. Their commitment makes a real difference to our school.

The PTFA is always happy to welcome new volunteers. You don’t need to commit to every event — any time, ideas or support you can offer makes a difference. If you would like to get involved, please contact the school office or speak to a member of the PTFA at an event.
